To be a Red Raider means to represent Miami Edison with pride, character, courage, and determination. A Red Raider is resilient—we rise when faced with challenges, support one another as a family, and strive for excellence in the classroom, on the field, and throughout our community. We honor those who came before us while setting an example for those who will come after us. There is nothing greater than being a Red Raider. And remember, once a Red Raider, always a Red Raider.
Athletic Director
A proud Miami Edison Senior High School alumnus from the Class of 1980, I lettered in seven sports during my time at Edison, which ultimately led to an athletic scholarship to Jackson State University. After attending Jackson State University, I continued my education at Miami Dade College and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education. My commitment to education and professional growth continued as I earned a master’s degree in TESOL, followed by a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University.
My connection to Miami Edison has remained an important part of my personal and professional journey. In 2014, I had the opportunity to serve as a Track and Field Coach at Miami Edison. In 2017, I was honored to return to my alma mater as a teacher, while continuing my passion for coaching and mentoring student-athletes. Today, I proudly serve as the Athletic Director at Miami Edison Senior High School, a position I have held for the past two years. Returning to serve the school that played such an important role in shaping my life has been both an honor and a privilege. Once a Red Raider, Always a Red Raider!
